Entry clearance is issued to every individual who applies for leave to enter in the UK. Entry Clearance is given to all commonwealth and non-visa nationals who wish to be in the UK for a six month period or more.
Visa nationals must apply to UK visas for Leave to enter the UK no matter what the length of stay will be.
